Solar design software for Indian rooftops
Draw the roof on the satellite map or type its sides. Panels place themselves around the water tank, the stair room and the parapet; strings, the SLD and the BOM follow. Opening with early access: email us and we set you up.
- Works in the browser and the Android app
- Feet or metres, RCC or tin shed
- Hindi and English
From a roof to a BOM in one sitting
Draw on the satellite map
Find the house, tap the roof corners. The sides are measured for you; type a side to correct it.
Or type the sizes
Side lengths in feet or metres, T-shaped roofs and slopes, the way the surveyor wrote them in the notebook.
Panels place themselves
Auto design fills the roof inside the setback, around tanks, stair rooms and anything you mark as an obstacle.
Strings and SLD
Strings sized to the inverter, automatic or wired by hand, and the single-line diagram drawn from them.
Arrestor, earthing, walkway
Place the lightning arrestor with its 45° cover, earth pits, walkways, DCDB, ACDB, meter and cable routes.
A BOM with reasons
Every line says why it is there; arrestors, pits and drawn cable are counted. Then make the quotation.
Three steps, about ten minutes
- 1
Draw or type the roof
On the satellite map, or from the survey — a free survey carries the roof straight in.
- 2
Let the panels fall in
Pick the panel and inverter; the layout, strings and shade check follow. Move anything by hand.
- 3
Make the BOM and quote
The BOM and the SLD come from the design; price it in the calculator or the app's quotation.
About the design studio
Is the solar design studio free?
Yes. It opens with early access: email us and we set your company up. Your designs stay in your company if you start using EPCoffice for the rest of the job.
Do I need to install anything?
No. The studio opens in the browser on a computer, and the same studio is in the Android app for the roof.
Does it draw the SLD?
Yes. The single-line diagram is drawn from the strings and the inverter you picked, and changes when the design changes.
Can it design around a water tank and stairs?
Yes. Mark the tank, the stair room or any obstacle; the panels and the walkway keep clear of them and the setback from the parapet.
Does it work for tin sheds and factories?
Yes. Pick a sloped or T-shed roof and type its sides; panel tables run on the rails along the slope.
Can I export a drawing?
The BOM and the quotation are shared as PDFs from the app. A DXF and PDF drawing export is planned, not built yet.
